Let me introduce myself!
My name is Julia Aardal! I have my Associate degree from Columbia Basin Community College and now working towards my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Idaho. I am continuing to work towards my degree to be able to teach 4th-grade math! 4th Graders have a unique passion, and creativity, and are well-motivated! This is what I am looking forward to in teaching 4th grade and am excited to do so!
My Pedagogical Beliefs
My pedagogical beliefs center around fostering a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and capable of success. I believe in meeting students where they are, recognizing their individual strengths and challenges, and using differentiated instruction to support their academic growth. I am committed to creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, I see the importance of building positive relationships with students to nurture their social and emotional development. By fostering a growth mindset and encouraging collaboration, I strive to help students become confident, curious, and lifelong learners.
My
Technological
Beliefs
My technological beliefs focus on integrating technology thoughtfully and purposefully to enhance learning and engagement. I view technology as a powerful tool for differentiation, creativity, and collaboration, allowing students to explore concepts in dynamic and interactive ways. It provides access to a wealth of resources and opportunities for personalized learning that can support diverse learning needs. However, I also believe in teaching students to use technology responsibly, critically evaluating digital content and maintaining a balance between screen time and hands-on, real-world experiences. Ultimately, technology should be used to complement and enrich learning, not replace meaningful instruction or human connection.
